HY 2D DTG printer for industrial batch garment production

One industrial production platform, two process routes

Which ink route fits your production?

One industrial production platform, two finishing routes. Compare by ink, finishing and target garments.

Field HY 2D DTG (Pigment)HY 2D DTG (Reactive)
Print channels 7-color W + CMYK + R + G pigment configuration Six-color CMYK + R + G, no white ink
Finishing Tunnel dryer only, no steaming and no washing Steam using an industrial steamer (optional), then dry, with no washing
Emissions Zero-discharge No wash water
Garment color Light and dark garments with a white-ink underbase Optimized for light and natural-color cotton
Hand-feel Pigment hand-feel Reactive soft hand-feel and high color depth
Typical buyer POD providers, print-service businesses and custom-apparel producers Fabric mills, high-cotton brands and supply chains prioritizing hand-feel
Shared architecture Dual print carriages; high-precision magnetic levitation (maglev) linear rail; dual platens; automatic in-line jetted pre-treatment; quick-change platens (custom sizes available); dual vacuum platen system

Dual print carriages

Paired with dual platens, one station can be prepared while the other prints, supporting a continuous load-print-unload rhythm for batch production.

Maglev linear rail

Contactless carriage movement avoids friction wear, supporting long-run positional accuracy and stable registration across industrial shifts.

Quick-change platens

Switch between T-shirts, canvas bags and pet apparel without changing machines. Custom sizes let one printer serve multiple product lines.

Dual vacuum platen system

Independent vacuum hold-down supports materials from 2.5 to 40 mm, keeping thin cotton and heavyweight hoodies on the same production line.

HY 2D DTG route questions

Should I choose HY 2D DTG (Pigment) or HY 2D DTG (Reactive)?

Choose HY 2D DTG (Pigment) when both light and dark garments, a white-ink underbase and tunnel-dryer finishing fit the production plan. Choose HY 2D DTG (Reactive) for light or natural-color cotton when reactive soft hand-feel and a wash-free route are priorities. The Reactive route retains steam fixation and drying, but removes washing.

Do both routes share the same machine footprint and site requirements?

Both routes share the same dual-station machine platform, dual print carriages, maglev linear rail, dual platens, quick-change platen system and dual vacuum hold-down. Both require an independent, clean, low-dust, low-light and well-ventilated workroom. The complete line footprint differs because Pigment uses an external tunnel dryer, while Reactive retains steam fixation and drying.

When should I compare HY 2D DTG with HY-4050?

Compare HY-4050 when the requirement is a compact A2 desktop DTG workflow. Compare the HY 2D DTG family when industrial batch production, multiple quick-change platen sizes and a planned finishing line are required. Dual-station alternating operation supports the continuous production rhythm.
