The HY 2D DTG (Pigment) is a dual-station industrial DTG printer that keeps one platen printing while the other is loaded or unloaded. The operator places a garment, then automatic in-line jetted pre-treatment and synchronized white-and-color printing run in sequence. Paired with an external tunnel dryer, the layout supports a continuous one-operator workflow.

Built for continuous pigment DTG production

Dual-station alternating operation lets one operator load or unload one of the dual platens while the other station prints. Dual print carriages on a high-precision magnetic levitation (maglev) linear rail provide the mechanical foundation for the continuous workflow.

Automatic in-line jetted pre-treatment removes the separate manual spraying step. White and color print in one sequence, then the garment moves to the external tunnel dryer. No steaming or washing is required, creating a zero-discharge pigment workflow.

How should I choose between HY 2D DTG (Pigment) and a DTF workflow?

Choose HY 2D DTG (Pigment) when the job is direct printing on cotton or blends containing at least 60% cotton and the planned line benefits from in-line pre-treatment. Compare a DTF workflow when transfer production or a broader garment-material plan is the priority. Final selection should be checked against the actual fabric, artwork and daily output target.

How does white ink support dark garments?

White ink creates the underbase for color on a dark garment. HY 2D DTG (Pigment) prints white and color in one print sequence, while the Epson i1600 heads are dedicated to automatic in-line jetted pre-treatment and are not color-ink printheads.

How many machines can one operator manage, and how should capacity be planned?

One operator can keep one machine's two stations moving by loading or unloading one platen while the other prints. There is no universal multi-machine staffing number. Plan capacity from the published A4 dark-pattern references, 115 pcs/h at 3-pass (720 × 900), 90 pcs/h at 4-pass (720 × 1200), or 60 pcs/h at 6-pass (720 × 1800), then validate garment handling and tunnel-dryer timing with the intended job.

How much space and supporting equipment does the tunnel dryer require?

Curing is external, so the line plan must include the selected tunnel dryer or oven, transfer space, operator access and service clearances. The exact dryer footprint and utility requirement depend on the chosen configuration and are resolved in the pre-order layout review.
